Navy's submarine and surface ship programs.
The highly engineered and custom-built pumps are made of a wide variety of exotic materials and span an envious range of both centrifugal and positive displacement technologies Every submarine and aircraft carrier in the U.
S.
fleet as well as many other U.
S.
naval vessels depends on the pumps manufactured at Warren.
POSITION DETAILS Position Summary Principal Activities Plan, prepare and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved material times to meet production requirements.
Determine material requirements for engineering and production schedules.
Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production.
Responsible for scheduling, requisitioning and monitoring the movement of material through the production facility and will work on a wide variety of complex planning activities where material requirements are new or variable.
Ability to devise and augment spreadsheets to enhance planning's ability to proactively communicate information with a sense of urgency Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members.
Liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Identify areas of improvement for planning in the MRP system and work with Master Scheduler on impact based solutions Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within Work orders.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path Plan and schedule project timeliness and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project milestones and deliverables Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans Minimize exposure and risk on the project Requirements CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills Project management skills Time management skills Analytical skills Problem solving skills Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency Ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changing Experience coordinating many small projects/activities at one time Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Must be US citizen to meet US Defense requirements.
Education & Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, Materials, Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years of planning experience within a manufacturing company, preferably aerospace Must have experience working within a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP systems CIRCOR offers a comprehensive, highly competitive benefits package most of which are effective Day 1 of employment.
